Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Hinted At By Lead Singer

Another Hint For Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake?

Metal Gear is among the best stealth games. First released in 1987, the series has been praised by fans across several generations. Despite its popularity, the franchise has not been revisited since 2018’s Metal Gear Survive.

Rumors of a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake have been circulating on the internet for almost a year now, and an announcement of the remake seems highly likely at this point. A recent social media post has given fans another reason to look forward to an announcement.

Lead singer Donna Burke recently posted an image of herself recording in the studio with a disc of Snake Eater.

Donna Burke is known for her work on the themes of Metal Gear Solid games like Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 5, implying she may also be re-recording the theme song for Snake Eater.

In another tweet, Donna Burke can be seen recording in the studio. A script has been spotted on the table, with lines like

“With Darkness And Silence Through The Night. What A Thrill.”

This appears to be the lyrics for Snake Eater, which might be another teaser from the singer.

All hints point towards a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3. Initial rumors of a remake of the game sparked in 2022 when Virtuos Games listed Konami as a client, implying that Virtuos Games may be developing Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is reportedly going to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive and has been in development for several years. With the remake seeming increasingly likely, fans hope to see some official confirmation soon.

The game’s remake could be announced at the rumored PlayStation showcase, where Sony will reveal multiple new PlayStation 5 games.

However, whether Hideo Kojima will be involved in this project is unclear. The director has had a rocky relationship with Konami and ultimately departed from the company in 2015.

A remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 would undoubtedly do well for Konami as it would introduce their beloved IP to new audiences, and a new Metal Gear Solid game has been overdue for quite a while.

What are your thoughts on a Metal Gear Solid 3 again? Do you think this teaser will lead to something bigger?
