Meta Quest 3 128 GB Will Launch In Fall 2023 For $499

With 40% Slimmer Optic To Quest 2, Quest 3 Is Much Sleeker, More Comfortable Headset!

Today Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg formally unveiled the Meta Quest 3 virtual and mixed reality headset and its price. Meta, expected later this year, promises significant improvements over Quest 2. These advancements include Higher resolution, improved performance, a sleeker, more comfortable design, and more advanced Meta reality technology.

On September 27, the specifications of the Meta Quest 3 are expected to be released. We know the starting price will be $499.99 for 128 GB of internal storage. Regarding the release date,  it will arrive in the fall of 2023.

Meta also revealed that the Quest 3 is sleeker and more comfortable than the Quest 2. New pancake optics have been used, which are 40% thinner. This also makes it possible to reduce the dimensions of the VR glasses.

The company has also indicated that the Quest 2 will receive a software update that promises a performance improvement of up to 26% in the CPU and up to 19% in the GPU.

Here comes the fact of having done some overclocking and using dynamic resolution technologies to increase performance in games and applications. With the new software, the Quest Pro will receive a performance boost of up to 26 and 11%.

Moreover, the Touch Plus controllers of the Quest 3 have been completely redesigned. They are now more ergonomic; part of this success is eliminating the external tracking rings. They have also included TruTouch haptic technology for greater immersion.

Lastly, Meta has also announced that as of June 4, its Meta Quest 2 would see its price reduced to $299.99 for the model with 128 GB capacity. The 256 GB model will cost $349.99.
