Maggie Roberston, the voice behind Lady Dimitrescu, was overwhelmed by the love from fans due to her role. She also stated that her part in Resident Evil Village elevated her career to new heights.

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Robertson talked about how she was unfamiliar with video games before landing Lady Dimitrescu’s role in Resident Evil Village, which later helped shape her entire career.

Robertson’s inspiration for the character came from Shakespeare’s acting work. She was already quite familiar with the famous actor/poet, so translating his work into Lady Dimitrescu resulted in an instant success.
Whether it was her character’s way of speaking, mannerisms, or just using plain words to inflict damage, every bit of Lady Dimitrescu echoed Shakespeare’s acting.
Her outstanding work in Resident Evil Village later helped the actor secure voice acting and motion capture roles in AAA titles. She continued voice acting in games like God of War Ragnarök and Baldur’s Gate 3 as Orin.
