According to Gamescom’s latest Twitter post, the community has picked Indiana Jones and The Last Circle as 2024’s Game of The Year. What makes this pick all the more impressive is the fact that the title faced Astro Bot, the same platformer that won Game of The Year at The Game Awards, in the finals.

Indy’s latest gaming adaptation pulled ahead with nearly 55% of the votes over Astro Bot. Moreover, it beat titles like Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth to make it to the finals.

Because the overall reception around this title was so positive, these results are not too shocking. MachineGames’ work on this Indiana Jones adaptation has spurred new levels of enthusiasm for the IP and introduced new fans to the IP.
