Story Highlight
  • Rockstar Games has recently shadow-dropped the second GTA 6 trailer, showcasing more cinematic and story moments.
  • Besides the trailer, the studio updated its website with new story and background info about the protagonists and NPCs.
  • The new details also provide a look into the game’s story and six important and diverse NPCs besides the protagonists.

After much anticipation and disappointing news of a delay, Rockstar Games abruptly dropped the second trailer for GTA 6 without any marketing. The trailer showcases many cinematic and story moments, attracting thousands of hungry fans in seconds.

However, in yet another shocker, Rockstar has also discreetly updated its website for GTA 6 and revealed a bunch of new story and background info for the game’s protagonists and half a dozen interesting NPCs.

Why it matters: The new story and background details for GTA 6 protagonists and important NPCs already imply that Rockstar Games has put a lot of work into crafting an interesting story to keep fans immersed.

Rockstar has revealed background and story details about both GTA 6 protagonists, alongside multiple important NPCs.

As seen on the Rockstar Games website, these details give us the first official in-depth look at what GTA 6 offers. The studio begins by describing that Jason and Lucia have to rely on each other more than ever after finding themselves in an easy score gone wrong.

They find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida.

After serving in the Army, Jason works for local drug runners. Meanwhile, Lucia learned to swing early and landed herself in prison after ‘fighting for her family.’ Both want to start anew together to survive and thrive in Leonida.

Rockstar also introduces Cal Hampton, a friend of Jason’s who likes to ‘relax at the low tide of America.’ Boobie Ike is introduced as the local Vice City legend who owns real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio.

Dre’Quan Priest is your local Vice City musician, involved in the hip-hop and rap scene and associated with the Only Raw Records label. Rockstar also shares details about Real Dimze, a rap duo featuring Bae-Luxe and Roxy, signed under the label.

Raul Baustista is introduced as a seasoned bank robber who knows his stuff. He has the confidence, charm, and cunning to scout out talented criminals willing to take high-stakes risks for equally big rewards.

And lastly, Brian Heder is a drug runner, a sharp and ruthless veteran smuggler who operates in Vice City.
