PlayStation 5 Will Struggle Because Of GTA 6 Delay!

Story Highlight
  • The GTA 6 delay has been dubbed a ‘real blow’ to PlayStation because it was supposed to help PS5 gain many new users.
  • The entry was supposed to cause a mass migration of PS4 users to the newer console because of the hype.
  • However, now these users will stay on the PS4 for a more extended period, which will significantly impact the sales of the PS5.

GTA 6 is one of those rare moments where the whole industry is expected to be massively affected by its arrival. A significant bump in the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 sales targets was expected, but the delay has caused a massive dilemma for console makers.

A notable analyst has even claimed that the GTA 6 delay has dealt a ‘real blow’ to PS5. The delay will affect how well the current-gen console performs this year, as it was supposed to attract a slew of PS4 users.

Why it matters: Many analysts believe the GTA 6 delay to next year will have significant consequences for console makers and the overall industry. This year will likely be one of the current generation’s lowest points for PlayStation and Xbox.
