Gran Turismo 7: Series Creator Denies Reports, Game Is Not Being Made For PC

No PC Port For Gran Turismo 7!

PlayStation has shown a fondness for the PC platform over the last few years. Critically acclaimed first-party titles like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection have made their way to the platform, and games like Returnal will soon follow.

Recently, it was rumored that Polyphony Digital was considering a PC port for Gran Turismo 7. While this sounded like great news, in a recent interview, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed that no Gran Turismo 7 PC port is currently being worked on

Gran Turismo 7 PC

When asked about the rumored PC port, the series creator was quick to shoot down any rumors about Gran Turismo 7 coming to PC. He stated,

“If you ask me, ‘are you doing anything concrete’? I am not doing anything. There is nothing to talk about.”

However, this does not mean that Gran Turismo 7 will never make it to PC. Kazunori Yamauchi did not deny the possibility of a PC port. He stated that his previous comment only discussed the possibility of the game coming to PC. He further stated,

“Regarding a PC version, I replied, ‘it’s not that I haven’t considered all the possibilities’. That means the possibility is not 0.”

The Gran Turismo franchise has usually been a technical showcase for PlayStation consoles. With the competent hardware from recent gaming PCs, Gran Turismo 7 could become the definitive way to experience PlayStation’s racing franchise.

Fans might be disappointed at this news, but Kazunori Yamauchi’s statement has some hope for the future. Gran Turismo 7 may go on to join PlayStation’s list of PC titles, but it will not be happening anytime soon.

Do you play Gran Turismo 7? Would you buy the game on a PC? Let’s discuss this in the comments below.
