Over time, the game’s condition steadily improved, and following the 2.0 update, its performance saw a major boost. The improvements were so significant that many fans argued that if it had launched in this state, it could have easily won Game of the Year. Now, five years later, it stays in the top three best sellers on Steam.

While the recent discount has certainly fueled its resurgence, numbers like these wouldn’t be possible if the game weren’t genuinely great to begin with.
