The BAFTA Awards have finally concluded, confirming big winners like Cyberpunk 2077. However, following its victories at The Game Awards, DICE, and more, Baldur’s Gate 3 came out on top and won the Best Game.
Why it matters: Ground-breaking games are not new in the industry. However, the impact of Baldur’s Gate 3 is unmatched, so this release will be remembered for years to come.
The BAFTA Awards nominated various games in different categories, including Best Game, Evolving Game, performance in a Supporting Role, and more.
Baldur’s Gate 3 had no trouble claiming five victories at the event, leaving competition like Alan Wake 2 and Spider-Man 2 in the dust. However, past victories were equally impressive.
In total, Baldur’s Gate 3 has won the biggest awards at the following events:
- The Game Awards
- Golden Joystick
- DICE
- GDC
- BAFTA
This is a new record since no other game has achieved victories at all these events in a single year.
The CRPG dominated all of these shows, winning by a large majority across multiple categories. At BAFTA, it took home awards for Best Game Music, Supporting Role, and more.
Such accolades have filled the team with a great sense of accomplishment, so the CEO had heartwarming words to share after the studio’s win at BAFTA.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is so vast that many fans have spent hundreds of hours in the universe without completing it. This CRPG has even garnered praise from those who traditionally dislike turn-based combat games.
As Larian Studios looks to the future, the team is filled with ambition. It hopes to create the ultimate RPG, even if the technology needed for such a project does not exist yet.
