- Assassin’s Creed Shadows has already reached 1 million players.
- This makes it one of the most successful entries of the series already.
- The figure includes players from PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Ubisoft’s subscription service.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been nothing but a success for Ubisoft so far. Following initial controversies, the game garnered praise from the critics, earned impressive reviews for its technical prowess, and quickly became Steam’s top-selling game.
Ubisoft has continued the streak of good news with its latest announcement, confirming that the RPG has now reached 1 million players.
Why it matters: Ubisoft could be gearing up for a major comeback following this success. If Assassin’s Creed Shadows sustains its current momentum, the gaming giant might not have to sell off its biggest IPs.

As per Ubisoft, the game achieved 1 million units before 4 PM in Canada. This means that the milestone was achieved around 12 hours after the title was available across every platform, including Steam.
Following this milestone, the French gaming giant has thanked the fans for making this achievement possible. The official Twitter account has even shared a few game keys to commemorate the occasion.
While this achievement is incredible, it should be noted that Assassin’s Creed Shadows has not sold 1 million units yet. The game is currently available as part of Ubisoft’s subscription service, so a large chunk of the player base likely came from this service.
Still, it would not be surprising if Ubisoft did announce an even bigger sales figure in the coming days.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is also set to receive post-launch support from the gaming giant. This success only guarantees that post-launch content will arrive in a timely manner as the team continues to work toward long-term success.
