Bayek VA Previously Also Expressed His Interest In A Sequel!

Story Highlight
  • The voice actors for Bayek and Aya were seen in a studio together with motion capture equipment.
  • They may be working on something relating to Assassin’s Creed Origins, perhaps a continuation of the game.
  • Previously, the voice actor of Bayek expressed interest in reprising the character for a sequel.

Ever since the Assassin’s Creed series transitioned to full RPG mode, there has been a debate about which entry best nails these elements. Most would agree that Assassin’s Creed Origins, the entry that introduced the RPG elements in the first place, is the best one thus far.

As such, fans have been yearning for a continuation of the game. Fortunately, their wish might even come true as Bayek and Aya’s voice actors were seen in the studio together, sparking hope that a sequel or something related to the game might be in the works.

Why it matters: Bayek and Aya’s arc can be considered one of the best in the series, and despite their story being completed in Assassin’s Creed Origins, there’s so much that could be explored, whether it’s earlier in their life or after the events of the game.

In a new social media post, Abubakar Salim, the voice actor for Bayek, shared a selfie of himself and Alix Wilton Regan wearing motion capture gear in a studio. These are all the signs fans would need to know that they’re working on something related to the game.

In the past, Kassandra from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has also appeared in Valhalla, and Bayek and Aya reprising their roles doesn’t seem impossible. Whether it’s for a new DLC expansion or a separate entry, one could only speculate for now.

Bayek Is One Of The Best Written Protagonists In The Series

Previously, Abubakar Salim has expressed his interest in revisiting the character for an Assassin’s Creed Origins sequel. However, his vision is for Bayek to visit Greece instead of Egypt, which might not be possible since Assassin’s Creed Odyssey already took place in that setting.

That said, Abubakar also owns a studio himself, so this collaboration might be for a completely different project, but that remains to be seen.
