- The Free Starter Pack is available now on Steam and Xbox Series X|S and includes the opening Iceland mission.
- PS Plus Premium members can access a separate one-hour timed trial now; the free Starter Pack reaches PS5 on November 10.
- PlayStation’s Starter Pack releases five days later; it is not permanently restricted to subscribers.
IO Interactive launched the free 007 First Light Starter Pack on Steam and Xbox Series X|S on November 5. The same pack arrives on PlayStation 5 on November 10; meanwhile, PS Plus Premium subscribers can try a separate one-hour timed trial.
The pack lets you play the opening Iceland mission, and any progress carries forward if you buy the full game.
When Can PlayStation Players Access the Free Demo?
The full game launched on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC earlier in 2026. Its Nintendo Switch 2 version is planned for March 18, 2027, as Tech4Gamers previously covered in its Switch 2 delay report.
For now, you can download the Starter Pack on Steam or Xbox; PlayStation’s free version arrives November 10. Premium subscribers can try the timed trial sooner. Importantly, the timed Premium trial and the Starter Pack are different offers.
The mission gives you a chance to try IO Interactive’s interpretation of young James Bond before deciding whether to buy the full game. No PlayStation Plus subscription is required for the Starter Pack when it launches on PS5.
The full game is already available, and IO Interactive has also announced limited-time discounts across the three platforms. The key difference is the November 10 PS5 launch date, not a permanent subscription paywall.
