- Nvidia plans to relaunch the GeForce RTX 3060 12GB in July.
- Production of the graphics card reportedly starts in June with various board partners like Asus, Galax, MSI, etc.
- The GPU originally launched in 2021, and it still delivers decent results in a lot of games.
Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 50 lineup has seen quite the price hike in 2026, largely owing to the rising DRAM prices. As Team Green continues to struggle with finding a balance between prices and rising manufacturing costs, it has turned to relaunching older GPUs as a potential solution.
Previously, rumors suggested that the RTX 3060 would return in Q1 2026. While this did not happen, an update on the matter suggests the graphics card is still set to make a comeback later this year.
Why it matters: Many consider the RTX 3060 from 2021 to be a better product in many ways than its follow-ups. Thanks to DLSS support, the GPU is also fairly capable at both 1080p and 1440p to date.

According to an update from Board Channels, Nvidia intends to relaunch the RTX 3060 12GB in July.
It is said that production of the GPU will begin as early as June, with many board partners already aware of this plan. Board partners supporting the RTX 3060 relaunch include Colorful, Asus, MSI, and Galax.
The report notes that Nvidia and its board partners should be able to reuse existing designs for the graphics card, easing production concerns. However, it will be interesting to see how the RTX 3060 is priced in 2026, considering it ships with 12GB of memory.
Considering Nvidia’s main goal with this relaunch appears to be filling a gap in the market and offering a product that satisfies consumer needs for both performance and memory in the mid-range segment, the decision to bring back the RTX 3060 is certainly interesting.
It’s also important to note that the RTX 3060 does not ship with support for modern features like Frame Generation, so this could be a factor in the final pricing. Anyhow, more information on the relaunch should begin to appear in the coming months.
