A New Era of VR Innovations!

[Press Release] Pimax has been at the forefront of VR technological advancements for a while, and the company’s latest initiative continues its commitment to providing the best for its wide customer base.

As part of the company’s 10th anniversary celebration, Pimax is set to introduce SuperOpen, giving developers and creators direct access to the company’s SDKs, HDKs, and headset 3D models.

According to Pimax, this move will allow its customers to innovate and implement new ideas directly on top of the existing platform. Effectively, SuperOpen will play a major role in pushing forward all things VR.

With SuperOpen, we’re making our SDKs – including the Platform SDK, XR SDK, and Driver SDK – available to the public. This allows developers and hardware makers to create new ideas.

-Robin Weng, Pimax Founder

Pimax states that the program will unlock access to APIs, HDK resources, and a distinct OpenMR developer ID to give creatives the tools needed to shape the future of virtual reality.

  • A liquid-cooling system to improve long-session comfort.
  • A facial-tracking front shell for realistic avatars.
  • A high-fidelity microphone module for clear, spatial voice capture.
  • A simulation-focused “Pilot and “Racer” edition.

As per Pimax, SuperOpen is part of a larger shift at the company. The brand is transitioning to a full ecosystem where developers can exercise creativity and authority.

Simply ordering a Pimax headset with the code ‘SUPEROPEN’ at checkout will grant new customers access to the Crystal Super Developer Program. As part of the program, customers will also be introduced to a community of like-minded individuals on platforms like Discord to exchange ideas and collaborate on innovations and various ideas.

Moreover, those already in possession of a Crystal Super headset can request to join the program. Ultimately, Pimax is doing all it can to support its growing community of VR enthusiasts.
