What Hollywood IP Would You Want To See As A Game?

Story Highlight
  • Stormind, which helped develop Mafia: The Old Country, has secured major investment.
  • They’ll be developing many new games, including one based on a major Hollywood IP.
  • For now, the studio hasn’t disclosed any details, including what the IP will be.

Mafia: The Old Country was primarily developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K. However, another studio, Stormind Games, collaborated with them to develop the beautiful 1900s Sicilian location, showcasing its incredible talent.

Stormind recently announced that it has secured major investment to develop many future games. Using the same, it will be developing a major Hollywood IP, but the name hasn’t been disclosed.

Why it matters: The studio has shown its intent to become a major name in the industry, and if it delivers this IP well, it could be on a path to cement its place.

Mafia co-developers have secured funding for a title based on a major Hollywood IP.

The report comes from Gamesindustry, which also spoke with the studio’s CEO, who said he wants them to grow into a multi-title studio while staying independent and keeping their Sicily-based identity.

Now, it isn’t clear what the game will be, but Stormind does have experience with another major Hollywood IP. Last year, it released A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, which had a decent overall reception.

So, the studio has a proven track record of good releases. There are many major Hollywood IPs that fans would like to be turned into games. But for now, our guess is as good as yours, so we’ll have to wait and see what it is.
