Couldn't get your hands on one? Worry not as restock is just around the corner!

Story Highlight
  • According to an OcUK employee, they sold more than 5,000 units of RX 9070 series GPUs on its first day.
  • The OcUK employee also stated that more RX 9070 series units will be restocked in the coming weeks.
  • If you want to grab a unit before someone else does, you should not use PayPal to complete the transaction.

AMD has created a beast of a card with an equally attractive MSRP. The high demand speaks volumes of its greatness. This can be verified by the staff member of one of the prominent retailers in the UK, Overclockers UK. The staff member claims they sold over 5,000 RX 9070 series GPUs on their launch day. The sales numbers are exceedingly impressive if we consider that OcUK is only a regional retailer. Many people are still waiting for the inventory to be restocked to get their hands on one of the two new AMD GPUs.

Since the demand is still not yet fulfilled as people are waiting for GPUs to be replenished. As per the same OcUK employee, Gibbo, more AMD RX 9070 series cards are booked and will be restocked in the coming weeks. However, the coming shipment will only include cards from ASRock, Sapphire, and PowerColor. Therefore, you have to settle for one of these if you’re really eager to get the card ASAP.

The OcUK staff member provided a cheat code to get your hands on the card before someone completes the purchase. He suggested using your conventional debit and credit cards to make payment for the graphics card when it restocks. Similarly, he advised against the use of PayPal, Finance, or Amazon to complete your purchase. According to him, PayPal takes much longer than the conventional bank card in processing the payment. This ultimately means your order will not be processed right away.

This is the level of demand you get to witness when a great-value product is thrown into the market. Similarly, what’s more interesting here is that this situation is only at one of the regional retailers in the UK. By now, you can visualize how massive the demand probably is at much larger retailers like Amazon, Micro Center, and Newegg.
