The Game Won't Be Releasing Before Late 2026.

Story Highlight
  • Phantom Blade Zero will have 4 difficulty options according to developer interviews.
  • Furthermore, the game will take around 30 hours to complete and is set to release in late 2026.
  • Over 100 people are working on the RPG with a budget of $55 million.

Phantom Blade Zero got its first official gameplay showcase just recently and with that other info about the game has also come to light, including its 30-hour playtime and a release window set for late next year.

Furthermore, recent interviews reveal the game will have a final budget of approximately $55 million. It will also include four different difficulty settings, allowing players of all skill levels to adjust the game’s challenge to suit their style.

Why it matters: Phantom Blade Zero has earned a lot of unfair comparisons to other Soulslikes since its reveal in 2023 and the difficulty levels prove the game is anything but that and will be easier for audiences to grasp.

Phantom Blade Zero Will Boast A Runtime Of 30 Hours For Its Main Story Alone.

According to interviews summarised by Lunatic Ignus, the upcoming RPG is going to have 4 difficulty levels to go with its 30-hour completion time. The difficulty levels separate Phantom Blade Zero from Soulslikes, which many think the game is trying to be.

Aside from that, there is also a rather interesting “Repeat Boss Challenge” in the game, which may let you fight bosses again if you have defeated them already.

In addition, the upcoming title is looking to be released sometime in 2026, with a window for the latter part of the year looking the most likely. Some info about the game’s development team has also come to light as over 100 people at developer S-Game are working on the title right now.

Phantom Blade Zero offers about 30 main weapons and 20 secondary ones. Each weapon is designed to move differently and cause specific types of damage, making every weapon feel unique.
