GeForce RTX 5090 Might Be A Viable Option!

Story Highlight
  • Rumors suggest that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 could be priced as high as $2500, while the RTX 5080 might exceed $1000.
  • The RTX 5090 features 32 GB of VRAM, making it an appealing upgrade over the RTX 4090.
  • Kopite7kimi believes the RTX 5090 will likely be priced similarly to the RTX 4090, around $1599, to maintain strong demand.

In response to the latest speculations, Kopite7kimi indicated that NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5090 GPU wouldn’t be much more expensive than the RTX 4090.

Why it matters: Understanding the potential pricing and specifications of the RTX 5090 is crucial for consumers. If the RTX 5090 is priced similarly to the RTX 4090, it could make high-performance gaming more accessible.

Compared to the RTX 4090, the RTX 5090, in particular, appears highly appealing with 32 GB of VRAM. Nevertheless, these specifications have also sparked speculation about a possible price increase and some overstated claims.

A Reliable Leaker Reveals RTX 5090 Won’t Have A Significant Price Increase

According to rumors earlier this week, the GeForce RTX 5090 from NVIDIA will cost up to $2500, while the RTX 5080 will cost more than $1000. For good reason, all of these are only educated assumptions.

In the meantime, NVIDIA is briefing its partners only on SKUs, configurations, and specs. The pricing will be decided upon when NVIDIA releases its MSRPs, which are normally close to launch.

Kopite7kimi has stated that the current speculated pricing is, in fact, “FAKE.” He doesn’t think the price of the RTX 5090 will rise significantly over the RTX 4090, which had an MSRP of $1599 US but is currently retailing for more than $1800.

We might see a similar jump or receive the RTX 5090 at the same $1599 US price point because it does not make sense to increase the price of a product that is already selling well.

That being said, Nvidia is known for its last-minute price changes, and depending on how the market responds, we might see a price that is much more appealing to the market.
