Black Myth: Wukong has been in development for a long time, and expectations are pretty high. There are now less than two weeks left before the game is released, so fans are patiently waiting for the first reviews before pulling the trigger on a purchase.
Various leaks about Black Myth: Wukong have also begun to show up before the embargo lifts on 16th August. Very recently, one reviewer claimed that the game isn’t GOTY material.
Two more reviewers have now chimed in, pointing to both stutters and performance issues on PC.
Why it matters: Unreal Engine 5 is infamous for its stuttering issues. Fans hoped Black Myth: Wukong would not suffer from these issues, but it seems this is not the case.
As per the reviewers, the game has some problems, and the most concerning one seems to be related to stuttering. Fans have been waiting for a long time for this release, so it would end up disappointing them if the stuttering managed to ruin the gameplay.
Although The game is graphically beautiful, Unreal Engine 5 is a problematic engine. Some FPS drops and some blurring are visible in the gameplay.

The other reviewer has also claimed that there are stutters in-game, even on a high-end PC. However, it is said that the game performs better than a release like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
It should be noted that a lot of information about Game Science’s upcoming release has been floating around recently. As such, it may be worth taking this information with a grain of salt.
Fortunately, most of the other information is quite positive. It is suggested that Black Myth: Wukong is worth the $60 price tag. The game seems to offer 50 transformations, with each one being quite unique and fun.
Nonetheless, with official reviews coming in just four days, more in-depth details should be available soon. Fans will be able to judge the performance for themselves once detailed breakdowns from reputed sources are available.
Black Myth: Wukong had already become the best-selling game on Steam before going gold. Therefore, everyone is looking forward to seeing how the full release performs.
