Dragon Age Returns In Just Two Months!

Story Highlight
  • Dragon Age: The Veilguard is reportedly arriving in late October.
  • BioWare will announce the official release date later this month.
  • The studio is also planning to share an official roadmap.

Over the last two months, Dragon Age: The Veilguard has received a plethora of details. BioWare has detailed the RPG’s scope, performance target on consoles, and even a rough release window.

However, the team has yet to share an exact release date. According to the studio, this information is also on the way, but a leaker seems to have spilled the beans early on. He states that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will arrive in late October.

Why it matters: BioWare has been away from the industry for many years. This makes the fact that its next major RPG is just months away quite exciting.

Prior to the leak, EA’s latest financial report confirmed that the game would launch in October or later. Jeff Grubb seems to have narrowed down this window further, stating that BioWare has been targeting a late October release for some time.

It’s still October. Late October though.

He warns that the date could still shift. However, considering the fact that the studio is ready to make an official announcement soon, this seems unlikely. BioWare also promised to share a roadmap for the RPG alongside the release date.

Considering Gamescom 2024 is now weeks away, this may be the event that confirms the official release date. If Dragon Age: The Veilguard does indeed launch in October, it would be surrounded by the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, and Silent Hill 2.

This would instantly make October one of the biggest months of 2024, with plenty of variety for all types of audiences.

Following back-to-back failures, Dragon Age: The Veilguard may be BioWare’s final shot at redemption. The studio’s last two games showed immense promise but ultimately ended up falling completely short.

BioWare promises to meet expectations this time around, so fans have high hopes for the release. Whatever happens, fans won’t be waiting too long to finally get their hands on the latest Dragon Age entry.
