Foul Tarnished, Emboldened By The Flame of Ambition!

Story Highlight
  • One Elden Ring player plans to sue the developer for a surprising reason.
  • The player has claimed that another game is hidden inside Elden Ring that we can’t access due to its difficulty.
  • Now, he plans to take the matter to court on September 25.

Elden Ring is arguably one of the most difficult games you can lay your hands on. Its DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, is even more difficult, and fans have thrown tantrums about this difficulty by negatively reviewing the content before.

However, one player has gone even further and aims to sue FromSoftware for a very weird reason. He believes that there is another game inside Elden Ring that is too hard to access even for the most dedicated fandom.

Why it matters: FromSoftware has delivered more than promised about its games before, so this lawsuit is based on shaky accusations.

Elden Ring Lawsuit
A 4Chan User Is Planning To Sue Bandai Namco.

Airbagged, a Twitter user, has compiled screenshots of his explanation on 4Chan. The user thinks that for an average player, more Elden Ring content is inaccessible as it is hidden by a massive difficulty barrier.

The whole point of this lawsuit is that fans only played half of FromSoftware’s offerings, as the user believes there is a completely hidden game inside each title from the studio. The user also claimed that on September 25, Bandai Namco would enter the court for a hearing over this whole case.

He uses Sekiro and Bloodborne as examples. According to him, they were advertised to offer something different from what we received as the final product. However, if that were the case, data miners would have likely figured it out years ago, and this would have been public knowledge.

As such, it is a bit surprising to see the user so adamant about this case.

If the user is referring to cut content here, then FromSoftware does not deserve any criticism. Game development is a lengthy process that requires a lot of content, some of which isn’t approved and eventually gets cut. Therefore, suing the studio seems a bit much.

As expected, fans didn’t go easy on the user and showered the thread with hilarious replies. One user’s reply particularly stood out. KarlGerm stated that if you go deep enough in an Elden Ring cave, you can go out the other side in Sonic Adventure Battle 2.

The thread is full of similar funny replies, which is quite fitting for this bizarre situation. Nonetheless, we remain interested in how the 4Chan user proceeds with the lawsuit.
