- A new leak reveals Assassin’s Creed Red’s main menu screen.
- This menu shows the game running at Quality mode on the Xbox Series X.
- Since Ubisoft seems to have included multiple graphics modes, 60FPS is all but confirmed for the RPG.
The latest leak for Assassin’s Creed Red provides a new look at an in-progress menu screen. Past leaks have already hinted at live-service elements, multiple protagonists, and a 2024 launch.
While this leak is not as extensive, eagle-eyed fans have spotted an interesting detail. The menu screen mentions a Performance Profile for the Xbox Series X, hinting that Ubisoft will provide 60FPS gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Red.
Why it matters: The RPG is expected to be Ubisoft’s first current-generation only game for the series. This lead to fears of the publisher potentially skipping a 60FPS mode.
The screenshot appears to confirm past leaks about Yasuke and Naoe. It also hints that players will be able to switch between the two characters at any given moment, unlike the recent games that were limited to one or the other protagonist.
Elsewhere, the live-service elements can be seen on display, with the menu giving players the option to pick a specific season. However, the Performance Profile caught everyone’s interest.
The image shows Assassin’s Creed Red set to Quality mode on Xbox Series X. Since a Quality mode exists, this implies that a Performance mode is part of the package.
Small text at the bottom states that the game is running at 3840×2160 resolution. Ray tracing is also mentioned, though it seems to be turned off in this version of the game.
It seems Ubisoft’s jump to a new engine has not limited its ability to offer 60FPS gameplay on consoles. Reports have confirmed a massive overhaul for Assassin’s Creed Red, from the animations and gameplay to the visuals.
While the leak does not offer much more, such images are often followed by official announcements. Therefore, we expect Ubisoft to finally pull the curtains off Assassin’s Creed Red soon, unveiling the next chapter of a franchise that sold over 200 million copies.
