PlayStation's Most Awaited PC Port!

Story Highlight
  • Ghost of Tsushima could be the next PlayStation PC port.
  • An insider states that an announcement could be made this month.
  • A previous leak also hinted at a 2024 launch for this port.

Ghost of Tsushima took the world by storm nearly four years ago, popularizing Japanese settings and finally encouraging IPs like Assassin’s Creed to make the first leap to Japan.

Sucker Punch Studios is expected to unveil the sequel this year, but the franchise might find even more interest before this reveal. According to an insider, a Ghost of Tsushima PC port could be announced in a matter of days.

Why it matters: Work on the sequel is underway at Sucker Punch Productions already, so the PC port could build further anticipation for Ghost of Tsushima 2, expected to arrive on the PS5 in 2025.

This information comes from Nick Baker, an insider who accurately leaked most of last month’s PlayStation Showcase.

He states that an announcement could be coming as early as March, possibly around the 5th. If true, PlayStation’s reveal is less than a week away, making it an exciting time for the fans.

I’m hearing that we might be getting something about the PC port soon.

Many fans also believe this timing would be impeccable since Shogun, a TV series airing on Hulu currently, has caught everyone’s attention. With a similar setting and themes, PlayStation could benefit from an announcement, capitalizing on the buzz surrounding Shogun.

It should be noted that a leak in January pointed to the port’s release in 2024. However, Nick Baker has only mentioned the announcement, leaving the rest up to speculation.

Meanwhile, PlayStation’s first PC port of 2024, Horizon Forbidden West, is also scheduled to launch in March.

Last month, Sony president Hiroki Totoki confirmed intentions to accelerate PlayStation’s multi-platform push on PC and mobile devices. This could mean more frequent PC ports every year, making this leak more believable than before.
