Top Mid-Range Graphics Card From Nvidia!

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 has returned to the top spot on the Steam Hardware Survey. Previously, the graphics card claimed this spot in April but was quickly dethroned in the following months.

Nonetheless, it has finally claimed this position again thanks to its appeal as a solid mid-range offering from Nvidia that provides all the essential features PC gamers look for.

This has been a long journey for Nvidia’s last-generation mid-range offering, considering the problems caused by factors like crypto mining and graphics card shortages. Despite all of this, the GeForce RTX 3060 has surpassed every other graphics card, at least on Steam.

Nvidia’s 60 series graphics card from the last generation has achieved a share of 6.27% on systems that use Steam software. The survey accounts for an estimated 8 million users, marking the largest increase among all other graphics cards with a rise of 1.40%.

The dethroned GeForce GTX 1650 now holds the second position, followed by GTX 1060 and RTX 2060. On the other hand, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is also gaining momentum slowly, being the 5th most adopted graphics card on Steam.

Among the current graphics card lineup from Nvidia, the GeForce RTX 4070 also seems to be gaining attention after recent price drops. Sadly, the same cannot be said about its competition, AMD.

However, with the recent popularity of the Radeon RX 7800 XT, the next few months may show a surge in demand for AMD hardware on the survey.

With such an impressive market share on Steam, the GeForce RTX 3060 is likely to retain its current position.

The graphics card is a great fit for modern games, offering a nice balance of price and performance. Additionally, it supports features like ray tracing, DLSS, and the newest addition to DLSS, ray reconstruction.

The GeForce RTX 3060 currently retails for around $260 at various places. Its successor, the GeForce RTX 4060, can be found for $290 for a 15% boost to performance, but both cards are well-suited to gaming at 1080p resolution.
