The launch of the upcoming Radeon RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT is just around the corner. With these two final pieces of the puzzle, the Radeon RX 7000 family comes to an end.
This also means that the Radeon RX 7600 is the only budget graphics card from AMD’s RDNA 3 family, and it may soon be the only budget offering from AMD. According to a Chinese website, AMD has stopped the production of its Navi 23 GPUs.
The Navi 23 graphics card comes in three variants, including the Radeon RX 6600, RX 6600 XT, and RX 6650 XT.
Following the report, it has been noticed the AMD Radeon RX 6600 series stock is running low, with many expecting it to run out as soon as September. The price of the Radeon RX 6650 XT has also dropped significantly in China.
The mid-tier Radeon RX 6650 XT is now priced at just 2,000 yuan compared to its launch price of 3,099 yuan. This suggests curious buyers might not be able to buy the graphics cards at these prices for much longer, even outside China.
The Radeon RX 7600 is currently the cheapest graphics card in the AMD RX 7000 lineup. Based on the new Navi 33 GPU, it performs slightly better than the Radeon RX 6650 XT while consuming less power.
However, it also costs more and is available for around $269 compared to the $240 for the outgoing Navi 23 GPU. On the other hand, the Radeon RX 6600 was the best budget budget offering, but AMD does not have a proper replacement for it yet.
The Radeon RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT were launched during the mining era boom, priced at $330 and $379, respectively. Since then, the prices have seen a drastic decline, with the former being available for as low as $200.
This makes it nearly $70 cheaper than the cheapest RDNA 3 offering. Therefore, users looking for a great budget offering should consider investing in the Radeon RX 6600 before stock runs out.
