Forza Motorsport Allegedly Releasing In October 2023

One Month After Starfield!

Forza Motorsport is the next title in Microsoft’s realistic racing simulator franchise. The game was originally scheduled to be released in the spring, but it was later delayed to sometime in 2023 in order to polish it further.

During a recent Last Stand Media podcast episode, Mr. Matty Plays reported that Forza Motorsport will be released in October.

Why It Matters: Forza Motorsport is one of this year’s three most anticipated Xbox first-party releases. However, the recent delay and lack of information from Xbox have left fans wondering about the game’s release.

He stated:

“I’ve heard that Forza Motorsport is coming out in October.”

If true, this would mean the game releases just one month after Starfield, which is coming in September.

After recent criticism due to the limited first-party games, consecutive first-party titles in two months would be a great showing from Microsoft. This would also ensure Xbox fans can keep themselves busy with two very different styles of games.

Nevertheless, this leak should be taken with a grain of salt since the credibility of the leaker is questionable. It would be best to wait for an official release date since it will most likely be revealed at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase.

After a hiatus of almost six years, Forza Motorsport is set to make a strong comeback. The game is expected to feature nearly 500 cars, with 100 of the being new to the series. Additionally, players can look forward to approximately 800 upgrades in the game.

In addition to the extensive customization options, the game will also receive a significant graphical upgrade, thanks to the power of the current-gen Xbox Series S|X consoles. Furthermore, ray tracing will also be included.

The delay is a positive development, indicating that Microsoft is dedicated to further polishing the game before its release. This approach aims to ensure a smooth launch and avoid the issues seen in some of their previous games, like Redfall.
