Diablo 4: Latest Beta Suffers From Stuttering Issues On AMD CPUs

Expert Verified By

Not A Great Sign For The Beta!

Diablo 4 is one of the year’s most anticipated games, and fans are not even a month away from its release. The recent beta broke the franchise record with over 62 million hours played, showing the excitement for the release.

Following the success of the beta, many noticed that Blizzard Entertainment was hinting at another beta before the release of the game, and yesterday, the final beta of Diablo 4 went live. However, many gamers with AMD CPUs have been facing stuttering issues.

Why it matters: Despite the anticipation for the title, the stuttering issues could be an alarming sign ahead of launch.

The video above comes from DSOgaming, and they used the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D and RTX 4090 with 32GB of DDR5 at 6000Mhz for the test. Though the specifications match the Diablo requirements, the user experienced stuttering issues.

As the video shows, stuttering occurs when the map is opened while DLSS3 is enabled. Moreover, stuttering issues can also occur during the gameplay when showing snow in the game.

These issues usually ruin the experience for fans, especially when they do not have underpowered hardware. However, other than these issues, the game runs at solid frame rates.

It should also be noted that the previous betas have not seen such issues, so Blizzard Entertainment might start working on the fixes immediately.

Diablo 4 is nearly a month from its release, but the devs have not said much about the issue yet. Nonetheless, we hope Blizzard works on this and fixes it before release.
