Dying Light Developer Reveals Fantasy Open-World Game Art

Open World Narrative Title!

The critically acclaimed Dying Light developer is working on a new game. Taking place in a fantasy setting, Techland promises an open-world worth exploring.

While details on the project continue to be limited, Techland has just shared a new artwork.

The developer’s upcoming project will be focused on a narrative-driven experience.

Fans can expect quality visuals and gameplay that Techland has showcased with the Dying Light franchise in previous years. The artwork also shows a character climbing a tree. While this might not mean much, it could be a subtle hint at parkour mechanics making a return.

The parkour implementation in Dying Light was arguably the best part of the game and set it apart from the various zombie games available at the time. Techland may choose to refine this mechanic for an even better experience in the fantasy game.

Techland has also hired several developers who have worked on games like The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. This should mean fans might be in for a treat if the team can live up to their previous works.

No release date has been announced, and fans might not see the finished product anytime soon. However, a new setting combined with a focus on narrative elements could make it worth the wait, with the team delivering their best work.
