Great For Making Use of SSD/HDD As External Backup Drive

[Press-Release] Sabrent launched its new USB 3.2 Type-A to SATA/U.2 SSD Adapter (EC-U2SA) that is compatible with 2.5″ SATA HDD and SSD along with support for 3.5″ HDD and 2.5″ U.2 SSD as well.

The new adapter from Sabrent connects to your computer via USB through a 3.2 Gen 2×1 interface, with a speed of up to 10Gbps.

The adapter is also backward compatible, but what’s great about the USB 3.2 Type-A to SATA/U2 SSD Adapter (EC-U2SA) is that it also supports drives that require additional power for stability and comes equipped with an included power adapter. Users can also use the included power adapter to power up their 3.5″ HDD and U.2 SSD.

Furthermore, the adapter from Sabrent also supports TRIM along with UASP for better endurance and maximum performance. The Sabrent EC-U2SA is also a plug-and-play solution compatible with Windows, macOS, and many other devices. An LED indicator also lets users know when their drive is ready to use.

Users without laptops with USB 3.2 Type-A ports can also use the Sabrent EC-U2SA  via a USB Type C to USB Type A adapter. The Sabrent EC-U2SA adapter is also an excellent option for using an SSD drive on the go since SSD are much more reliable and durable than slower 2.5″ HDDs.

There are a lot of adapters on the market, but most of them do not have support for 3.5″ HDDs, unlike the Sabrent EC-U2SA, making it easier to back up large files using a much cheaper solution compared to 2.5″ HDDs and SSDs.

The Sabrent EC-U2SA is currently selling for $35 on Amazon
