This closure was seen as heartbreaking by industry professionals, and it seems fans weren’t too happy either. Fans have now taken to review bomb Hi-Fi Rush, but the community is showering this title with love and praise.
Why it matters: While Xbox was satisfied with the success of Hi-Fi Rush and promised to try different creative projects following its success, the team has been rewarded with nothing but disappointment for its work.
Fans are using these positive reviews as a means to protest Tango Gameworks’ closure. In just three days, the game has received over 600 reviews, and 94% of them have been positive.

While Hi-Fi Rush hardly needed any additional positive press, the new wave of reviews has made it Bethesda’s best-rated release on Steam. It may not have hundreds of thousands of total reviews, but a whopping 97% of all reviews are positive.
We have also noticed that the in-game player count has increased by nearly 5x in the last few days. Therefore, the community is doing its best to stand by Tango Gameworks.
Fans have also been leaving positive reviews on other releases from the developer, including The Evil Within and Ghostwire Tokyo. Since review bombing is typically associated with negativity, it is heartwarming to see Steam users appreciating Tango Gameworks and Hi-Fi Rush.
This was one of our favorite releases of 2023, and we were just as upset as everyone else to learn that a sequel is unlikely to ever happen. Amid the chaos, the community has attempted to raise its voice, commemorating Tango Gameworks’ achievements and triumphs with this rhythm action game.
