Story Highlight
  • Black Myth: Wukong is undeniably the biggest launch of 2024.
  • The game garnered a massive fandom, broke many records on Steam, and has over 95% positive rating on Steam.
  • Due to that, this Chinese action RPG has been nominated in the Ultimate GOTY category at the Golden Joystick Awards.

Black Myth: Wukong, the biggest hit of 2024, won the hearts of many. While its success was totally unexpected for many gamers, it definitely served as a catalyst for much more to come from the Chinese developers.

This game shattered records on Steam like it was nothing, and now it is the most-played single-player game on the platform. However, despite performing so well and garnering overwhelmingly positive reviews from the fandom, the game was not nominated for the PC or console GOTY at the Golden Joystick Awards 2024.

This caused a massive uproar among the fandom, but they don’t have to worry anymore. The title has been nominated for the Ultimate GOTY award.

Why it matters: Black Myth: Wukong not being nominated for PC or Console Game of The Year was concerning. However, the fans would be delighted to know that this Chinese RPG has been nominated for an even better award.
