If one problem has irritated Xbox users for a long time, it is the Xbox DRM issue. Many Xbox owners were angry about this problem because it prevented you from playing a game you owned without an internet connection.

After an extended period, the problem appears to have been rectified because Xbox has improved its DRM, or “Digital Rights Management,” in an update. Now, Xbox gamers may play their favorite games without being connected to the internet.

In a YouTube video explaining the update, Hikikomori Media highlighted that players would still need an initial check-in before playing any games. Initial check-in indicates that a user who just purchased a console and wants to play their games offline will need to activate their account by connecting their console online, after which they may be able to play their games offline.

It was previously necessary for users to designate their Xbox console as their home Xbox to play their games offline. While this method wasn’t perfect, it did work, and not that Xbox has improved its DRM; it’s excellent news for Xbox users because it means they won’t have to follow all the procedures to play their designated games offline.

This update only allows the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S users to play their owned games offline, and unfortunately, users of Xbox 360, OG Xbox, and the Game Pass games still need a check-in.

Microsoft has recently made numerous beneficial upgrades to its Xbox systems. The Xbox consoles have been crushing it lately, whether it’s quicker boot times, affordable costs, or various other beneficial features.

We are excited for the future of the Xbox consoles and what other amazing features will be implemented in them. This is the limited information we have now, but we will look for more news regarding Xbox.
