The Force Is Strong With This One!

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the long-anticipated sequel to Respawn Entertainment’s first release in the Star Wars universe from 2019. The game is set a few years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and promises to expand on the first game in nearly every way possible.

Fans who have been waiting to enjoy the latest Star Wars game will be glad to know that the critics have already published their scores, as the game is just two days away, and the reviews are excellent so far.

A few of the scores are listed below:

  • VGC – 10/10
  • IGN – 9/10
  • TheGamer – 7/10
  • Push Square – 9/10

Critics have praised the combat mechanics as the game expands the variety of lightsaber combat styles. Cal can now utilize new styles, adding to a total of five stances, including options like dual-wielding and double-bladed stances.

While the story might be predictable, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been praised for its highly detailed environments. Critics also enjoyed the game’s memorable cast of characters.

Despite the positive reviews, many have faced technical issues in the game. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can face performance issues on consoles, often failing to hold a steady frame rate in both 30 FPS and 60 FPS modes.

While this is not a deal breaker for consoles, PC reviews claim that EA has not done a great job with the port. The game can exhibit frequent stutters, frame-rate drops, and other issues observed in recent PC ports.

Nonetheless, technical limitations have not stopped the game from receiving excellent reviews across the board. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is also rated 86/100 on Metacritic.
