Disappointing Price Hike For The RTX xx60 Series!

Story Highlight
  • The GeForce RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti are reportedly listed in China, with the RTX 5060 featuring 12 GB of VRAM.
  • RTX 5060 12GB is listed for ¥3,799 ($524), while the RTX 5060 Ti is priced at ¥4,299 ($597).
  • Without the 21% VAT, the prices are $499 and $449 for 5060 Ti and 5060 respectively.

Although Nvidia has not unveiled its mid-range graphics cards, VideoCardz claims that the GeForce RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti are already listed in China.

This is also the first time the GeForce RTX 5060 has been listed with 12 GB of VRAM, though by an unidentified Chinese retailer. Either Nvidia intends to segment the midrange market further, or this is a misprint.

Why it matters: The launch of the GeForce RTX 5060, especially with the 12 GB VRAM version, could affect consumer decisions as more affordable graphics cards become available for gamers.

In China, the GeForce RTX 5060 12GB is listed for ¥3,799 ($524), while the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is said to cost ¥4,299 ($597). That said, take it with a grain of salt because the information is from an unofficial and anonymous source.

This is especially true given that the prices of the GeForce RTX 5060 series appear to be much higher than the MSRPs of the much more powerful GeForce RTX 5070. On the other hand, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is expected to have an MSRP of $499 if we remove the 21% VAT.

All things considered, there is no reason to speculate about pricing on the mid-range option, as Nvidia is anticipated to release its GeForce RTX 5060-series in the next few days.

The market will be filled with graphics cards worth between $400 and $500 this year. However, mid-range options with more than 8 GB of memory are expected to be in high demand, considering the requirement of current-generation games.
