Red Dead Redemption 3 Isn’t Rockstar’s Priority, But It Is Being Planned

Red Dead Redemption 3 Is Inevitable!

Story Highlight
  • An anonymous source working with the developer has revealed to Tech4Gamers that Red Dead Redemption 3 isn’t the company’s priority at the moment.
  • They revealed that the developer is focused entirely on GTA 6.
  • However, while the company is focused on the next installment in the GTA series, the third installment in the RDR franchise is being planned.

Rockstar is very well known for Red Dead Redemption 2, which shocked the world back in 2018. It is arguably one of the greatest games released to date. RDR2 has also been voted as the best sequel released in a massive poll, thanks to its unmatched story and gorgeous open world

Fans still argue to this day that this game was robbed of GOTY in 2018 and have believed ever since that The Game Awards is a totally biased show. That said, fans of the Red Dead Redemption series would be delighted to know that the third installment in the series, Red Dead Redemption 3, is being planned at Rockstar

Why it matters: It has been a long time since the second game in the series was launched, so fans have been waiting patiently for a third entry for a really long time.

A Rockstar employee told Tech4Gamers that the developer is currently prioritising GTA 6 only. The company’s entire focus is on its upcoming game, which is guaranteed to shake the world.

However, the employee also revealed that while the company’s primary focus is on GTA 6, plans for Red Dead Redemption 3 are already underway. They agreed to let us share this information on the condition that their identity remains completely anonymous for personal reasons.

Since the anonymous employee didn’t share additional details, it’s reasonable to assume that Red Dead Redemption 3 is still in the conceptual phase. Once the highly anticipated next installment in the GTA series launches, development focus will likely shift toward it.

Previously, Strauss Zlenick confirmed that the developer aims to develop another iteration in the Red Dead series, but due to a lack of communication, the fandom was skeptical. However, fans shouldn’t expect much information from Rockstar or Take-Two before the release of its biggest title.
