More Details Expected To Be Released Soon!

Story Highlight
  • Resident Evil Requiem was just recently revealed at the Summer Game Fest.
  • The reveal has hyped a vast amount of fandom, but some were concerned that the primary setting is yet again Raccoon City.
  • A reliable insider has confirmed that Raccoon City won’t be the main setting, as it is just a place visited.

Resident Evil Requiem (9) has been in development for a long time, and Capcom was really quiet about this title. That said, the developer finally broke the silence during the recent Summer Game Fest by releasing a reveal trailer

The trailer has hyped many of the gamers, but they collectively shared one concern: that the game is set in Raccoon City. However, they shouldn’t be concerned, as one of the reliable Resident Evil leakers has claimed that it is not a primary location but just a place visited

Why it matters: Fans don’t want the same main area for more games, as that may make their experience a little boring. So, introducing new settings and areas in a game is pretty important.

Dusk Golem on Twitter posted the release date and revealed the game’s main character. He said that Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft would be the two main characters. In this tweet, a fan commented, “I reallly reallly REALLY hate it already lol “Return to Raccoon City!” Is so bad”.

However, fans shouldn’t be much concerned as this is not the primary setting of the game.

Do not worry, that is not the primary setting of the game, just a place visited.

While, of course, there are fans who adore the idea of exploring Raccoon City as the primary setting, they would get their fair share of exploration. The trailer showcases a destroyed Raccoon City, which would be pretty fun to explore.

One of the protagonists of Resident Evil Requiem is going to be Grace Ashcroft.

Whoa never thought we would be able to revisit the ruins of Raccoon City, especially the RPD ruins. Super hyped for it.

While the fandom is super hyped to visit the destroyed Raccoon City, they may not have liked it as the main location, so hopefully the insider is right.

Dusk Golem has been right about some of the leaks, but he doesn’t have a perfect track record. For instance, he said that the game would appear at the Summer Game Fest, and it did. However, he also said that Jill would be the second main character

Hopefully, we get to hear more about the game soon. What do you think of the Resident Evil Requiem trailer revealed yesterday? Are you hyped for the game? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments section below or join the official Tech4Gamers forums for discussion.
