- A reliable leaker has hinted that one of the old classics Parative Eve may appear during the State of Play.
- The leaker gave two references and both were enough to convince the fandom that Sqaure Enix is reviving an old IP.
- The State of Play is pretty near now so will know soon whether this is true.
Square Enix has suffered for making its games exclusive to PS5 as the gaming giant has on multiple occasions revealed how its recent games have underperformed sales-wise even though they had such positive reviews.
That has disappointed a lot of fandom on other platforms. However, the gaming giant is no longer embracing the PS5 exclusivity. It also seems to be not stopping there and might be reviving one of the old classics, Parasite Eve.
Why it matters: Fans love to hear when a developer/publisher decides to revive an old classic they haven’t heard about in years. So, this may bring a lot of positivity toward Square Enix.
As per Xun a reliable leaker from the A9VG forums Parastie Eve may appear during the State of Play today. Xun shared an image of the State of Play ahead of the announcement with a thread title that translates to “the hypnotic soprano”.
This is the strange part as it seems to be reference the Parasite Eve’s opera-singing antagonist. This isn’t the only basis for the game’s revival as the image also gave a clear reference to Square Enix. It featured a square piece of tofu with the letter e. That can’t be a coincidence now.
Unfortunately, the image has now been deleted which raises the suspicion even more. So, a lot of fans are convinced that the game is likely to appear during the PlayStation State of Play.
The leaker didn’t give any reference about whether the game will be a sequel a remake or a remaster. Nonetheless, it has given fans a hope to expect the game’s presence at the State of Play that isn’t too far away.
