Over the last few months, various leakers have discussed Nvidia’s upcoming GeForce RTX 4000 series graphics cards based on Ada Lovelace’s architecture. Among the leaks, power consumption has been a common concern. Nvidia’s current strategy seems to throw power consumption out of the window to achieve maximum performance.

The AD102 GPU Core has been at the center of this information, which is supposedly the fully unlocked AD102 GPU from the ADA Lovelace line-up, with leakers predicting a 600-watt TBP for the graphics card. This power would only make sense for something like the alleged Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Ti.

A new picture from Greymon55 has given us our first look at an alleged GeForce RTX 4090 Ti. The GeForce RTX 4090 Ti will come with a humongous triple fan cooler based on the full-fat AD102 GPU Core.

According to Greymon, this image does not represent the reference design for the graphics card. This is likely just an engineering sample to test the graphics card. Greymon’s image lines up with another prominent leaker’s prediction. Kopite7Kimi has also discussed a triple fan cooler for the full-fat AD102

Unsurprisingly, the AD102 GPU will be difficult to cool. Nvidia’s engineering sample looks impressive but will likely come at a high cost. AIBs also need robust cooling designs to ensure the chip is cooled properly. This will also add to the price of the graphics card.

The full AD102 GPU comes with 18432 CUDA cores with 144SMs. It is also expected to include 24GB of GDDR6X memory across a 384-bit bus.

As the next generation launch draws nearer, graphics card prices have also hit. Nvidia’s flagship Ampere launch cards like RTX 3090 are now selling below $1000. Pricing has also been a concern for the GeForce RTX 4000 line-up.

The AD102 GPU was always rumored to be a powerhouse, and this image only confirms that suspicion. The GeForce RTX 4090 Ti will likely be the best option for consumers looking to get the best gaming coupled with excellent rendering potential.
