Many have even compared it to Starfield, and it appears the recent release from Bethesda Game Studios has motivated many to give No Man’s Sky another chance. According to Sean Murray, the game has had its best month in the last few years.

Sean Murray is the founder of Hello Games, and he recently took to Twitter, revealing that No Man’s Sky is going through a surge in popularity.

According to the developer, this surge is not limited to a single platform, with console and PC players returning or visiting the game for the first time since its release in 2016.

Data from Steamcharts also suggests that the game has reached its highest concurrent peak of over 34K players this month since August 2022. At the time of writing, the game has over 21K concurrent players.

Much of the recent interest in No Man’s Sky is speculated to have come from the excitement and buzz surrounding Starfield. While both games are fundamentally different, they offer an immersive sci-fi experience.

The title also excels in some areas where Starfield falters. The latter has received criticism for excessive loading screens, but No Man’s Sky features seamless space travel between its numerous planets.
