Essential BIOS Updates for Better Gaming on Ryzen 9 9950X3D!

[Press Release] The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is a powerful gaming and content-creation processor. MSI BIOS features allow users to optimize performance further.

Updating the BIOS and chipset drivers ensures optimal performance. The latest AMD chipset driver (v7.01.08.129+) includes the AMD Application Compatibility Database driver, which, combined with a BIOS running AGESA 1.2.0.3+, boosts gaming performance.

Thanks to the BIOS update, Metro Exodus sees up to a 10% boost, while Far Cry 6 improves by 8%.

After updating to AGESA 1.2.0.3+, install the AMD Application Compatibility Database driver to fix an “Unknown Device” issue in Device Manager.

Metro Exodus and Far Cry 6 saw significant FPS gains.

Performance gains were observed Using Memory Try It!, High-Efficiency Mode, and X3D Gaming Mode. Monster Hunter Wilds saw a 14.5% increase compared to DDR5-4800. Far Cry 6 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider improved by around 6%.

It’s important to note that Memory Try It! and High-Efficiency Mode involve overclocking, which may affect system stability. X3D Gaming Mode impacts CPU cores and SMT, affecting multi-threaded workloads. Gaming performance gains depend on GPU and system setup.
