Mortal Kombat 1 Allegedly Features Conan The Barbarian

Another Potential Guest Character!

Guest characters have become an important part of various fighting games, and the same can be said for Mortal Kombat. Over the last decade, Mortal Kombat has seen cross-overs like Kratos, Alien, and Spawn. According to recent reports, the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 appears to continue this tradition.

As reported by Jez Corden, Mortal Kombat 1 could feature Conan the Barbarian as a guest character.

Why it matters: Due to the long history of exciting crossovers, fans are always curious to learn about potential guest characters for current and upcoming NetheRealm Studios fighting games.

Previously, Conan the Barbarian was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. As mentioned earlier, the famous actor was featured in Mortal Kombat 11 for his role as The Terminator. As such, the actor may return for Mortal Kombat 1.

However, Jez was not sure if Arnold would play Conan the Barbarian. Therefore, the developer could also pick a different version of the character. The leaker has previously hinted at multiple other guest characters for Mortal Kombat 1.

These include characters like Peacemaker and Homelander. This should mean that fighting game and Mortal Kombat fans have much to look forward to.

Despite the leaker’s reliability in the past, it would be best to take the rumor with a slight grain of salt until further confirmation is made.

Following a series of teasers, Mortal Kombat 1 is expected to be revealed soon. The game might also be featured at the long-rumored PlayStation showcase, but that remains to be seen.

Recently, a reliable report hinted at a September release for the title. Therefore, the game is much close to release than many had initially expected.
