Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Skips Mouse And Keyboard Support On PC

Controller Required For The Game!

The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 is coming to nearly all platforms on October 24. This collection includes the first three Metal Gear Solid games and more, allowing new audiences to experience the iconic franchise.

While new players can now enjoy the titles, they may be limited by input devices. Konami is bringing the collection to PC, but it seems like PC users will not be able to utilize their preferred input devices.

According to a report, the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 will launch without mouse and keyboard support.

Why it matters: PC users are accustomed to a keyboard and mouse and may find it difficult to adjust to a controller.

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1

The report claims that Konami briefly launched the Steam page for Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1. However, the company was quick to take it down, but users were able to notice a disclaimer on the page.

The disclaimer states:

“Metal Gear Solid Master Collection requires a controller to play. Playing with a keyboard and mouse is not supported.”

Since the first two Metal Gear Solid games already had mouse and keyboard support, it is possible that they will retain this feature in the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1. However, Metal Gear Solid 3 might not support these input methods.

Konami is yet to elaborate on the PC release, so fans can only wait for the gaming giant’s communication. PC gamers looking forward to the franchise may be disappointed, but the upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 could include support for a keyboard and mouse.

PC users can pick up one of the many controllers on the market to enjoy the iconic franchise.

With the large presence of modding on PC, mods will likely enable keyboard and mouse support for these games at a later date. However, it may not be a perfect workaround, and it would be best to stick with controllers like Konami recommends.
