FromSoftware shook the gaming industry with Elden Ring in 2022. Elden Ring saw colossal success, shipping over 16 million units in just a few months. While this is already impressive, Elden Ring has not shown signs of slowing down.

Elden Ring’s success continues to surprise the gaming industry. FromSoftware parent company Kadokawa has just published its latest earnings report. According to the report, Kadokawa has profited by over 1100% for the company’s gaming division.

The company has reported operating profits of 7.592 billion yen compared to last year’s 623 million yen. Elden Ring has been an enormous success and the title led to these profit numbers for Kadokawa. The game has received highly positive reviews, winning the Japan Game Awards 2022

This is not the first time companies have discussed Elden Ring’s success. Earlier this year, Bandai Namco reported a 34% uplift in revenue thanks to Elden Ring. It looks like developer FromSoftware has now broken into the mainstream market with Elden Ring, exceeding their previous titles in nearly every way.

Elden Ring continues to thrive to this day, months after its release. The game has a dedicated player base on nearly every platform. Despite performance issues on PC, Elden Ring stayed on Steam’s best sellers list for several months.

Elden Ring Elden Ring is also expected to receive further support from the developers. FromSoftware is known to release extremely polished and impressive DLC content for their titles, and Elden Ring’s success has guaranteed post-launch support.

A recent datamine has hinted at upcoming DLC, which could include weapons, arenas, and more. Previous rumors have also talked about potential ray tracing support for Elden Ring, despite the already dodgy performance on PC.

While 2022 has been filled with disappointing releases, Elden Ring continues to impress. FromSoftware has achieved monumental success, and it looks like the developer intends to go even further. Elden Ring is already massive, but the future could hold even more promise for FromSoftware’s latest release.
