Immortals of Aveum is among the first Unreal Engine 5 games for consoles and PC. Coming with impressive visuals, the game also asks for hefty hardware on PC.
VRAM capacity and recent graphics cards have been controversial subjects. Modern AAA games are asking for more VRAM, and 8GB is quickly becoming an entry-level option. Like many other games, Immortals of Aveum is also not too fond of 8GB VRAM.
The game recommends at least 12GB VRAM for 1440p gameplay.
As seen above, Immortals of Aveum recommends graphics cards like the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and Radeon RX 6800XT. While the former comes with 12GB VRAM, the latter includes 16GB, hinting that the game may use even more VRAM.
Aside from the VRAM requirements, the game is also extremely demanding elsewhere. It recommends high-end processors from the last generation, including the Intel Core i7 12700 and the Ryzen 7 5700X.
On the lower end, 1080p users can still get by with 8GB VRAM. However, they will be limited to medium settings. Therefore, users looking to enjoy Immortals of Aveum should consider upgrading their hardware based on the system requirements.
The game will utilize Unreal Engine 5 features like Nanite and Lumen. This may explain some of the high system requirements, but it is clear that higher VRAM requirements are here to stay.
Immortals of Aveum is a first-person shooter based on magic abilities. Some have even described it as Call of Duty with magic, but it has enough unique elements to set itself apart from other shooter games.
While the title was initially scheduled to release in July, it has just been delayed to August. According to the developers, this delay will allow for more polish and optimization for all platforms.
