On 3rd November, the review embargo for God of War Ragnarok was lifted. Most media outlets gave the game perfect scores or nearly perfect, and the reviewers suggested it to be the best game of 2022.

Still, there was an exception, IGN Korea, that gave a score of 6/10 due to the game being very similar to God of War 2018, and according to Bae Sang Hyun, who wrote the review, God of War Ragnarok appears to be a DLC for GOW 2018 rather than a worthy sequel.

While IGN gave God of War Ragnarok a perfect 10/10 score and stated it as ‘The Best Experience of 2022.’ Regardless of what other reviewers say, it is still a game reviewer’s right to write a review according to judgment about the game. Bae Sang Hyun did the same but got a back clash and was ridiculed by the fans for giving the game such a low score, while all the other publications gave it the highest scores.

After receiving so much hate, Bae Sang Hyun shared an original copy of his review. And He advised the readers to read his full review using Google Translate, which might clear any misunderstandings that could have led to the outrage.

Still, the backlash and some ridiculing comments are understandable as that is how people are on the internet nowadays, but one fan took it too far and commented a full-blown death threat for the reviewer.

This type of behavior is unacceptable and should be condemned at all times. These threats and hateful comments on just expressing your opinions on the internet are ridiculous and cause serious mental health issues. So what are your thoughts about this?
