Game Science Reportedly Preparing 2 Black Myth: Wukong DLCs

Expect 7 New Chapters To Expand Story Followed By Sequel!

Story Highlights
  • Black Myth: Wukong was reportedly supposed to be lengthier but kept short because of budget restraints.
  • Game Science plans to launch 2 DLCs for the title, especially now after all the success.
  • A sequel will also come after the DLCs.

Black Myth: Wukong is a fairly decent-sized game. You are looking at just over 30 hours to complete the main story spanning six chapters and over 60 hours for completionists. However, a report states that the action RPG could’ve been lengthier if not for budget restraints.

Why it matters: The report states that the title was originally planned to have 13 chapters, but it was cut short to just 6 to maintain budgets. Because of this, Game Science will supposedly release multiple DLCs in the future.

Black Myth: Wukong has a lot of potential for future expansion.

According to a new report, Game Science plans to release 2 DLCs for Black Myth: Wukong before its next game. The ending left the door open for a new story that will undoubtedly be explored with the DLCs instead of a sequel.

The game isn’t comparable to similar titles like Elden Ring in terms of length, but that’s because of the budget. The 13 chapters were reduced to 6, which still translated into a fairly long game.

But with the DLCs, Game Science has a lot to offer. For one, budget will surely not be an issue since the game outsold everyone’s expectations. It sold over 10 million units in just three days, and the number must be much bigger now, so the developers have a lot to work with.

The leaker also states that a sequel will be made after the DLC.

The game was supposedly meant to be longer.

There isn’t much we would like to see change with the DLCs. The game is already quite good as it is. The developer just needs to replicate the current formula with the expansions.

However, the action RPG could use some work with optimization since it runs quite poorly on consoles.

Anyhow, Game Science’s work on the action RPG is commendable. We can’t wait to see what they bring to the table the DLCs. Unfortunately, there isn’t any official confirmation of the expansions or any information on when we can expect them.
