Full Reveal Coming Summer 2024!

Story Highlights
  • Dragon Age Dreadwolf is set for a full reveal in summer 2024.
  • An industry insider reports the team is still targeting a 2024 release for the game.
  • Bioware is expected to share more information soon.

BioWare, the studio behind franchises like Mass Effect and Dragon Age, is gearing up for its next game. Dragon Age Dreadwolf is the next installment from this renowned team, expected to arrive at some point in 2024.

According to a famous leaker, BioWare is still moving forward with this release target, hoping to launch the game this year.

Why it matters: The developer’s last game was launched in 2019. Five years after Anthem, hopes are high for the studio to make a strong return.

During a recent podcast, renowned leaker Jeff Grubb was asked about Dragon Age Dreadwolf.

He stated that the game would be revealed in summer 2024. This was also confirmed by BioWare last year during a short teaser, but his comment on the release window is more interesting.

Jeff Grubb stated that the team’s plans for a 2024 launch are still intact. However, the lack of a release window suggests that BioWare may be ready to delay its latest RPG if needed.

It will be released this year last I heard.

Following this statement, he warned that a 2024 launch is not guaranteed.

While this team faced a small wave of layoffs last year, Bioware is determined to ensure that no compromises are made. Meanwhile, the next Mass Effect entry is also in pre-production.

Dragon Age Dreadwolf Holds The Potential To Be An Incredible RPG

The Dragon Age franchise was last seen in 2014.

Since then, BioWare has struggled to find its footing in the industry, with two back-to-back failures. However, the developer has been working hard to ensure Dragon Age Dreadwolf does not meet the same fate since the franchise is returning after a full decade.

This game has scaled back all live-service and multiplayer elements, bringing it closer to a traditional single-player RPG, a decision that may save it from a similar fate as the recently launched Suicide Squad.

With games like Dragon’s Dogma 2 also arriving soon, 2024 is shaping up to be a solid year for fans of RPGs. If Dragon Age Dreadwolf can live up to expectations, it will also redeem BioWare’s reputation after recent disappointments.
