We are all familiar with the Diablo Immortal by Blizzard because it has garnered a lot of attention since its release, not all of which have been positive.

While Diablo Immortal is a brand-new, free-to-play mobile game in the Diablo franchise, due to the micro-transaction strategy, the game has infuriated the community, which is one of the main reasons Diablo Immortal has made the news.

For reference, we recently revealed that the Free-to-Play game’s character maxing out costs over $110,000, which is insane. Despite all of that, the game has been relatively profitable for Blizzard, and despite all of the criticism, it has achieved a significant milestone.

Within two months after its release, Global player spending on the App Store and Google Play has already reached $100 million. As unexpected as it may seem, it isn’t that unpredictable since the game reportedly had been performing well in revenue.

We previously reported that the game had already exceeded $24 million in revenue in its first month of release and that it was reportedly making $1 million per day, which is insanely large.

The report comes from SensorTower; Diablo Immortal has already generated $100 million in sales in just two months. That only accounts for sales on the App Store and Google Play, not any other third-party stores.

Compared to other well-known properties, Pokémon GO from Niantic took about two weeks to reach the milestone number. In comparison, Fire Emblem Heroes from Nintendo reached the milestone in about ten weeks.

Diablo Immortal is currently the No. 13 highest-grossing mobile game globally since its release. It was the No. 2 MMORPG at the time, barely behind Fantasy Westward Journey from NetEase, which was ranked No. 1 by player expenditure worldwide, according to Sensor Tower Game Intelligence.

Everyone believed the game would fail badly when it first came out because of its subpar micro-transaction approach. However, Blizzard might have hit a home run since it is one of the most successful failures in history.

What are your thoughts? Do you think Diablo Immortal is a title worth dropping that much money on? How much have you spent so far in Diablo Immortal?
