Adam Jensen Voice Potentially Changing For Next Game!

The Deus Ex franchise is over two decades old, with a massive fan following. However, a new game in the franchise has not been released since Deus Ex: Mankind Divided in 2016.

While the developers have not clarified the future of the franchise, well-known industry insider Jason Schreier has already shared that a new Deus Ex game is in the very early stages after Embracer purchased the rights to Deus Ex.

A recent job listing also hinted at potential co-op mechanics for the title. While a new game has begun development, the voice actor of Deus Ex protagonist, Adam Jensen, has confirmed that he is not involved in any project in the franchise.

Why it matters: Elias Toufexis has been the voice for Adam Jensen for over a decade, and it would be shocking for many fans to see a new actor in place of Elias Toufexis.

The famous voice actor, Elias Toufexis, has highlighted the IP on several occasions. Previously, the voice actor replied to a tweet from a fan, claiming to wonder when a Deus Ex game would begin development.

Recently, another fan mentioned the voice actor’s potential involvement in a new Deus Ex game. In reply to his tweet, Elias Toufexis stated:

“I wish I was even more busy on a new Deus Ex. I am not under any NDA for Deus Ex.”

He elaborated that he has not signed an NDA for the franchise. While the voice actor is happy to be working on many projects, he would love to return to the role of Adam Jensen.

With recent leaks hinting at a new Deus Ex game, it is possible that the famous voice actor for Adam Jensen might not be returning. Game developers have been known to recast famous roles before, and the same might be happening for Adam Jensen.

However, it is also possible that the developers have not decided on the voice actors yet. Since the game is in the early stages, Elias Toufexis could be called for the project in the coming months.

Nonetheless, a new entry in the franchise has long been overdue. The last two major titles in the franchise sold a combined 12 million copies, showing that millions of gamers are willing to enjoy more offerings from the series.
