- Cyberpunk 2077 has achieved a new milestone, reaching 35 million sales.
- This milestone means that the RPG has sold 10 million copies in the last two years.
- CDPR also says that the game is outpacing The Witcher 3 in terms of sales when comparing figures across the same period after launch.
CDPR has shared another round of encouraging news for its latest IPs. The studio previously confirmed that work on the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and The Witcher 4 was moving along at a rapid pace.
Its latest earnings report shows why the team is so motivated at the moment. According to CDPR, Cyberpunk 2077 has now sold 35 million units.
Why it matters: Cyberpunk 2077’s success story is nothing short of a miracle, considering how poorly the game was received at release.
CDPR’s latest earnings report also confirms that Cyberpunk 2077’s latest sales milestone puts it ahead of The Witcher 3 when comparing sales in the same amount of time post-launch.
However, The Witcher 3 still leads as the game with the most sales, boasting over 50 million units sold. As for Cyberpunk 2077, the game has sold a whopping 10 million units in the last two years.
In 2023, CDPR confirmed that the game had sold a total of 25 million units. As such, it’s impressive to see how well the RPG is still doing, and the team has even confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 is now its main source of revenue.

The studio has also shared that the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel development team has grown by over 10% recently. As such, CDPR is clearly invested in the IP, hoping to do everything it can to ensure its long-term success.
The team has even confirmed another anime adaptation following the success of Studio Trigger’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
